Duties of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs:

  1. Providing administrative support and coordination in the implementation of administrative policies and procedures within the college.
  2. Collaborating with the dean in setting administrative plans and programs, monitoring their implementation, and reporting on progress.
  3. Coordinating with other departments and administrative units within the college to implement policies and administrative procedures consistently and efficiently.
  4. Managing daily administrative activities, including staff coordination, organizing meetings and appointments, and overseeing document and correspondence review.
  5. Handling employee-related issues, including recruitment, appointments, promotions, performance management, administrative training, and general staff affairs.
  6. Supervising administrative and information systems in the college, including developing and improving internal procedures and administrative systems, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  7. Addressing infrastructure and administrative facilities issues, working on their development and improvement, and ensuring that necessary administrative needs are met.
  8. Handling financial and administrative budget matters, including budget preparation, review, monitoring expenses and revenues, and preparing financial reports.
  9. Managing quality and administrative accreditation issues.
  10. Addressing compliance and legal implementation matters, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory policies and procedures, and preparing responses for internal and external audits and monitoring requirements.
  11. Collaborating with external entities such as government ministries, official bodies, and other academic institutions regarding administrative and regulatory matters.
  12. Working on the development and improvement of work processes and administrative procedures, providing guidance and training to administrative staff, and promoting a culture of quality and administrative sustainability within the college.
  13. Assigning tasks to administrative and technical staff across all departments of the college based on the college's needs and distributing staff accordingly to ensure the college's interests and requirements are met.
  14. Approving regular leave for technicians, administrators, and contractors employed by the college for domestic and international purposes.
  15. Approving the assignment of additional university work to college staff and employees.
  16. Approving medical reports for all college employees, provided these reports comply with the rules and regulations outlined in the medical leave system.
  17. Carrying out necessary administrative staff transfers within the college, in accordance with the public interest, and in coordination with the college dean and heads of academic departments.
